Avenues for Women is a faith based, non-profit, 501-C3 organization.  We do not accept any government money and depend solely on fundraisers and the generosity of others in order to provide our much needed services to the people in this area.  One of the main sources of income at Avenues for Women is The Baby Bottle Blessings fundraiser.  Typically, this fundraiser runs from Mother’s Day to Father’s Day, however, each church determines what works best for their congregation. 

 

The idea is that people can fill their baby bottles with loose change and then donate it to the center. Collectively, the change adds up to a substantial amount of money and it enables us to continue to offer our services to the people who need them.  Of course, cash and checks are always welcome. 

 

Participation in this fundraiser is easy.  We will provide baby bottles and an informational packet to your church.  All you have to do is tell your congregation about Avenues for Women, distribute the bottles, and then collect the bottles to return to us.  We will count the money and notify your church with the amount raised.  It’s that simple.

 

For the 2010 calendar year, as of May 24^th, Avenues for Women has distributed 5874 bottles to 63 different churches in Frankfort and the surrounding areas.  Those churches include:
